Etiquette

Many classic fairy tales feature medieval settings with knights and kings, and it comes as no surprise that changeling society revolves around the traditions and customs of the 14th century culture represented in fables.

Before the Shattering, the Dreaming was a place of dual natures: light and dark, law and chaos, duty and freedom. It is from this duality that the Fae courts hold their purpose. While the courts have integrated to a more harmonious state, a divide still remains, with each changeling siding with a philosophy most suited to themselves. Every Seelie kith has an Unseelie nature (and visa versa), and many times, it is difficult to know what exactly one’s court is. Despite more ambiguous affiliations and slight overlaps, certain general beliefs unify us more towards one side than the other.
