Arcadia: The mythical homeland of the Fey, from which all Changelings come. It has been lost for a long time now.

Autumn: The current, modern age; Said to be the start of the Long Winter
Balefire: A literal fire that is a focus for the Glamour that powers a Freehold.
BANALITY : The anti-thesis of Glamour; the tangible essence of mortal disbelief
Bedlam: The madness that comes upon Changeling’s who lose touch with mortal existence
Calling on the Wyrd
Changeling: A Fey that has placed themselves in a mortal body to survive existence in the land of mortals
Childing: The youngest of the Changelings; admired for their affinity and closeness to glamour and imagination
Chimera: A piece of dream made into reality, either as a creature or an item, and unseen by mortals; they are parts of the enchanted world of dreams

Commoner: Any Kithain / Changeling that is not a Sidhe
The Deep Dreaming: The deepest part of the land of dreams, and home to the most powerful Dream Realms; It is said that Arcadia is hidden somewhere here

Fae/Faerie: A being native to the dreaming
Fae Mien: A changeling’s fae visage, seen only by other changelings or creatures with enchanted sight
The Far Dreaming: Lying between the Near Dreaming and the Deep Dreaming, this portion of the dream realms is only reached by first travelling through the Near Dreaming.
Fledge: A newly awakened changeling
Freehold: A place infused with the living essence of glamour and a safe haven for changelings, providing a temporary shelter from banality
Gallain: A kithain or creature whose origin, customs, or magical ways are unfamiliar
GLAMOUR: The life source and building blocks for dreams; the essence of fey magic
Grump: The eldest of the changelings; very few changelings live to this age, as it is closest to banality
Kin: Human relatives of a changeling who lack faerie blood
Kinain: Human relatives of a changeling who possess faerie blood; frequently blessed with strange gifts
Kith: A race of Changelings; The nature of one’s faerie soul
Liege: A noble to which one swears loyalty
The Long Winter: The prophesied end of all dreams
The Mists: a metaphysical curtain of the collective disbelief of humanity; responsible for a mortal’s tendency to forget enchanted encounters and the curse that causes banality-tainted fey to forget their changeling nature
Mortal Seeming: A changeling’s mortal appearance
Motley: A gang or family of commoner kith
The Near Dreaming: The closest portion of the Dreaming, most easily accessed by Trod
Noble: A Changeling holding a noble title; traditionally a sidhe
Oath Bond: The magical bond created by swearing and oath or vow; breaking an Oath Bond leads to great consequences

Trods: Magic gateways and paths; the faerie roads, leading to freeholds and the Dreaming
Vassal: A sworn servant to a Liege
Wilder: An adolescent changeling at their fey prime; the most common age of the fey
The Wyrd: A force that, when called upon, makes a bit of the chimerical world real
Yearning/The Gloomies: The longing for the fey homeland that grumps feel as banality approaches
