Rhapsody

Rhapsody

Rhapsody is a form of epiphany so dark, the the mere practice is forbidden by both the Seelie and Unseelie Court. The mere thought of the act is an affront to the very nature of dreams.

Rhapsody occurs when a changeling forces so much raw glamour into a dreamer that the dreamer ignites into a burst of creativity so bright and hot that it fires their ability into one single masterpiece that marks the end of their imagination before it is entirely drained. No glamour may ever rise from their creative mind ever again. Some find the experience so traumatic that the succumb to stress related illness, or worse: suicide.

The final master piece of the artist is a brilliant bounty of glamour…but in order to reap the rewards, the work itself must be destroyed. Here in lies the final tragedy: the artist’s greatest creation will be as if it never existed at all.
